Getting connected

Joining Smallworld is easy. Your Smallworld Partner will discuss your needs with you and arrange site visits as required.

There are two main ways to connect to Smallworld
– Via a gateway
– Directly from a compatible IP PBX with VoIP card inserted,
such as the Avaya IP Office range.

A gateway is a box that links your existing telephone system to a broadband connection. The gateway is equipped with inbuilt Quality of Service (QoS) software that automatically prioritises voice traffic over data traffic, ensuring excellent voice quality. The precise choice of gateway will depend on your individual circumstances – your Partner will advise you. A selection of gateways and prices can be seen here.
